![]() This past weekend was terrible and we left after only one night although we had reserved the room for three. ![]() We have been coming to Lava Hot Springs for a long time. Apparently this is one of the nicer accommodations. Yes, I’m pretty picky about hotel rooms so if you are too, don’t stay in Lava Hot Springs. The hot springs pools were nice enough the first day Friday, but by Saturday afternoon I was grossed out by all the floating debris in the water, dead skin no doubt because my feet were incredibly soft afterward. The place was packed!!! The walls so thin I could hear the entire drunken conversation going on in the next room at 3:45 am. We were there two nights and never saw a maid.Īfter the first night I asked if the heat in our room could be turned up at night and an old electric space heater was left outside our door. The one bedside table was old and cracked and was sticky on the edges. The toilet was in a closet so small I couldn’t sit down and close the door without it hitting my knees. Our room had one queen bed covered in the aforementioned old bedspread, a pedestal sink, television, and no shower but a big heart shaped jetted tub on full display. I know that’s what it was because the bottle was in a bucket at the end of the hall. The smell of Clorox Cleanup hit me as we walked in. My friend and I were given a room in the “spa” building. This place is only worth $40 per night not $188. The only thing scary about this haunted hotel was wondering when the bedspread was last laundered.
